Kwanzaa (26 December-1 January)
This is a special African-American culture festival that lasts for seven days. At this time, people share and give gifts, have fun, eat and drink very well. Some others also take the time to rest for all their hard work.
The giving of gifts and sharing of a meal ends on 1 January. Maulana Karenga found this festival. He was an African active member of the Black Power movement and was first held in 1966.
